Quick Start

Get up and running with restartOS in minutes. Follow these simple steps to start using the RAM-based Linux distribution.

Step 1: Download restartOS

Download the ISO or disk image for your platform:

• 64-bit Intel/AMD ISO
• Orange Pi 5 Plus Image
• Orange Pi 5 Image
• Rock 5B Image
• Raspberry Pi 4/5 Image

Step 2: Write to Boot Media

Use a tool like Rufus, Etcher, or dd to write the image to your USB drive or SD card.

Step 3: Boot from Media

Rearst your computer and boot from the USB/SD card. restartOS boots directly from RAM - no installation required!

Step 4: Start Using restartOS

Your system is ready to use immediately after booting. The OS runs entirely from memory, so you can disconnect the media and continue using your system.
